Argo and Life of Pi emerge winners at Oscar 2013
Ben Affleck accepted the Oscar award for the Best Film for Argo at the 85th Academy Awards. First lady, Michelle Obama joined in from the White House along with Jack Nicholson to present the final award.
Visual effects extravaganza Life of Pi picked up 4 Oscars for Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, and Best Original Score. The Best Actor award went to Daniel Day-Lewis for his remarkable performance in Lincoln, while Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence picked up the Oscar for Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook. This made her the youngest person ever to be nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Actress and the second youngest Best Actress winner.
