With millions of users getting more active across social media and social networking platforms, that coupled with the recent surge in Mobile shopping, e-commerce sales, this move from Twitter could completely alter the social media ROI scenario for the billions of users online. In our test, an entire purchase can be completed in just a few taps. Twitter is already placed among the top 3 biggest social media and networking platforms in terms of active users, mobile users and also in terms of brand engagements online. This move could radically transform the way “Mobile advertising” works in the coming years! Wait, let us re-phrase that, it could revolutionize mobile shopping in the coming few months.
There are quite a few glitches and concerns that can be assumed at this stage in completely monetizing “Twitter to Sell” for eg. Market reach, TG specific users willing to make mobile purchases from tweets, relationship building and engagement with users prior to making a sale, safety and security of data and most importantly the actual cost to conversion ratio as seen finally by brands using this service from Twitter.
But hey, no innovation works without glitches, trial and errors, right? Where there is fire, there will be smoke. The hope is, that the power of LIGHT and Warmth it brings will supersede the power of smoke.
Being a huge fan and follower of this splendid social networking platform, we are eagerly looking forward to making our FIRST purchase on Twitter for sure!
