With Social Media Marketing racing into our daily lives through friends, peers & those wonderful first time virtual friends, advertising online received an amazing adrenaline rush with millions of dollars being spent by big Brands on social games for an ad spot, brand reach and the most cherished word for this decade “connect”.
All of the Big Brands seem to want a part of it. Right from Bing, Mc Donalds, The movie – Megamind, Strauss Groups Peanut bar, 7eleven and more are racing to acquire “fans” & to further increase their brand reach by putting up sponsored ads on the worlds most addictive social game of Farmville by Zynga with over 80 million users online playing it.
The wonderful aspect of this whole social gaming and reaching the audience was also when for causes like HAITI relief, Farmville game contributed a wonderful cause by bringing users together, connecting, being a part of this concern and in real terms making a huge positive contribution and difference to them globally.
No wonder the ad-spend on social gaming has crossed over $200million already worldwide.
What does the future look like for brands and products to connect with their consumers in unique way for a global reach?
