This is the top button that is referred to as the Rollout timing bar. These changes will roll out as a preview over the next several weeks. During this preview period, as a twitter user one will be able to switch back and forth. This is to help you get used to the new features of twitter.
2. A refreshingly new design:
A refreshingly new design with a transparent background that lets you take control of all the features you would want as part of your tweet experience. The Only disadvantage for now is that your personalized BG space is further reduced. May be they will come up with a sleeker design for looking into this aspect of design and bg. Lets wait and watch!
3. Core value adds:
- Retweets: Who has retweeted you, whom have you retweeted and more
- Searches and lists to have your followers easily tucked in and organized in groups
- All your @mentions also forms part of the main time-line of your twitter profile.
- The site takes the layout of a professional blog as on the right hand side you wind a clean looking widget styled features like Followers (You/Others) favourites, trending topics and lists.
4. Now comes the real value-add:
Now the real value add with the new twitter experience is View photos, videos, and other media content due to partnerships with DailyBooth, DeviantART, Etsy, Flickr, Justin.TV, Kickstarter, Kiva, Photozou, Plixi, Twitgoo, TwitPic, TwitVid, USTREAM, Vimeo, yfrog, and YouTube.
5. Discover related content:
You also have an amazing feature that lets you discover related content. When you click on a tweet pane, it shows additional information related to the author or subject. Lots of related information like mentions, comments, geo-tag if enabled etc can be seen.
6. Stay where you are and access a users @user profile information:
That’s right, now there is no need to navigate from your page. Click @username to see a mini profile that includes bio and the most recent tweets.
