Smartphone Smarter than its user
Smart Phones: Smarter than their users?
Every household has a smart phone nowadays. Whether it’s used for Professional or work or business purposes, or for the teenager to have a blast with his or her music and or gaming or to just check whether the friends next door have uploaded their pictures of trips of Goa and Bahamas. You can see it in on the table connected to the charger at every house.
But are smart phones limited to these uses only? Of course not.
Very few people tap into the power of their smart phones. Phones nowadays are so evolved, that you discover some new features everyday even if you have been using them for months.
The core uses of phones have simply been to make calls, send texts, maybe listen to music & play games.
But now, you have the option of creating and editing documents, photos, slides & make the blog post live in moments and all of it, without switching on your desktop or laptop.
With scores of apps like wordpress, blogger, instagram, GooglePlus etc to help them jot down their thoughts or share with their circles if something inspires them while on the move or if they have seen something very interesting, making it live with friends, is as simple as hitting the “share” button on your screen.
Smartphones today have expandable storage, which means amateur photographers can snap scores of pictures without worrying about running short of space. They can also touch them up with the plethora of photo editing apps available at their disposal.
Your smart phone can also help you make money. Integration of QR codes & location based check in apps like Foursquare are turning out to be a profitable venture for both the user and the brand. The user can claim discounts on his purchases, while the brand gets exposure, brand mentions at reasonable marketing costs with great ROI on their online marketing campaigns. Also more customers are attracted when someone they know has made use of that service. This word of mouth is more powerful than a full page ad in a leading daily.
Smart phones have also been implemented with features to make them easy to use for people with disabilities. Larger fonts, the ability to give voice commands, your phone reading out your mail & texts etc are just some of the ways that have made smart phone use easier for those with special needs.
Researchers have also recently announced a Braille app that will even let the visually challenged users use smart phones! I loved it when I heard it.
It doesn’t matter if you are technically not too sound, your smart phone is smart enough to do what you want it to do based only on what you say to it. Apple’s Siri is a sterling example of AI (artificial intelligence) that also has a personality to it.
With smart phones today that come deeply integrated with social media functions, making sharing with your social circle even more of a breeze, it’s a pleasure to use it while on the go.
Smart phones are taking over the world, more importantly without you even noticing their intrusion or support, as you would deem fit to see it. More and more users are turning to their smart phones before their computers to get their work done.
So are you a smart phone power user? Are you using your smart phone for what it is actually capable of?
Hope this article helps you to get more out of your smart phone.
