I was delivering digital strategy consulting for a hotel chain based out of USA for a period of 16 months working closely with their marketing, corporate communications, legal, advertising, finance, their third party digital agency, in-house digital and customer relationship management teams

The goal was to reduce their ad spends on third party sites and increase their sales more via organic and in-house apps/platforms/website and tools.We were able to do this after 16 months of relentless focus on creating an omni-channel digital strategy for the hotel chain

We were able to personalize an end-to-end customer experience by merging the customer journey in the physical and digital world.

We were able to integrate gamification, marketing tech (martech) platforms with in-depth data from their analytics about their end users day to day experiences and while at their hotel properties

What was accomplished:

1) Customised check in and check out options as per customer convenience of travel, business and leisure, each custom designed with offers that most efficiently work as solutions to each category of customer cohort created, monitored and serviced

2) We were even able to offer services as offers (add-ons and value-adds) that were an 89% fit based on online offers (completely personalised for every single customer) based on their browsing habits and past history of stays. For new customers, we ran surveys that took less than a minute for them to answer with a clear intent to make good on that data by offering them value-add services such as birthdays, anniversaries, travel guides, tourist options, business work & high end internet connectivity, best ways to pick up and drop them from locations to hotels to airports, meal preferences etc

3) All of this integrated with a high end gamification engine for their loyalty and rewards program

4) The online sales, referrals, staff (hospitality team) feedback from their customers, frequent visitors, upgrade services, add-on hotel services, online brand mentions, etc saw an overall average increase of 48% during this period. Most importantly, their ad spends reduced on third party apps by 42% and more than 63% of their core sales came via their own intellectual digital properties and content marketing efforts
