Nolly Silver Screen is a digital platform – website and monthly magazine which focuses on Nigeria’s budding film industry. Built almost exclusively by the hard work, sweat and passion of a gathering of individuals, Nollywood now commands the world’s attention, seducing with its tales of quality that only Hollywood and India’s Bollywood can dare to compete with.

Founded in 2013 by award winning journalist and essayist, Isabella Akinseye, Nolly Silver Screen is fast becoming the go-to spot for Nollywood enthusiasts. The road to the success that Nolly Silver Screen is today started in 2008, when Akinseye covered the film industry for True Love West Africa Magazine. Since then, she has contributed features on Nollywood to Sun newspaper, Thisday newspaper, Vanguard newspaper, tvNolly Blog, Dstv website, AfricaMagic website, Happenings9ja website and GOtv website. Akinseye also works as a freelance presenter and red carpet host and has covered prestigious award ceremonies, movie premieres and Nollywood events. She recently served as a Jury Member for the Africa Student Film Festival (2014).
The Nolly Silver Screen website features film reviews, articles, photo stories and topical news features.Auditions, DVD releases, listings and events are also incorporated on the site. Visitors can also watch documentaries, short films, web series and video reviews for free on the site.
Nolly Silver Screen is currently the only magazine focusing solely on Nollywood. The magazine features articles, cartoons, interviews, news, film reviews, celebrity birthday notices, a vox pop segment and a red carpet spread for the fashion lovers. Past editions have been covered by a mix of Nollywood heavyweights including actors, producers, directors and screenwriters. Issues have focused on themes such as women and Africa.
