Our most recent trip was to the MMRDA Grounds at Bandra Kurla Complex for the Toyota Auto Expo and they did not dissapoint. Thanks to one of my dear nephew’s (Bijoy) call on the ongoing show, I could hit the auto show just before the ‘endtime’
The highlight was the TOYOTA Etios (Concept) car and with it many others that stole the glam of the day were the Prius, Altis, Innova, Land Cruiser Prado, the magestic Fortuner and of course, the lovely dancers performing at the show and the beautiful models showcasing the automobiles to the onlookers.
There seemed to be some serious buyers too, but we were there just to catch a glimpse of the Etios.
Toyota etios
The TOYOTA Etios comes with a Hatchback priced at an affordable B Segment with a 1200 CC Engine running on fuming petrol with power steering and a 5 speed Manual transmission.
Beautiful and beastly, hopefully should deliver what it looks like it can!
The other catcher and breath taker was definitely the monstrous FORTUNER. Its an amazingly majestic ride with awesome power and great fuel efficiency from what is claimed. A 3.0 L D-4D Diesel engine with turbocharger with intercooler and an exceptional all Terrain capacity and a 16 valve DOHC.
It was a great show all in all!
Let’s see if the beauty is as beastly on the terrains when the amazing blend of monstrous engine with sleek styling hits the roads of the ever rugged Mumbai.
