there are many types of game engines available...

Hi Maxisttlmgame,

Yes, you can use game studio for importing not only models but also the animation keys with it.

But game studio provides you to add keys and create simple and complex animations. :ymsmug:

It allows you to use 3d max , maya models etc... :ymblushing:

You can add maps / texturing etc to your models and bg from game studio itself in its Game design Level and then add actions / scripts etc in the Development level.
:ymdevil:

It has many other features like entity maps, bg textures , baked maps that can be reused etc..... (*) (*) (*) (*) (*)

its available for free download from their main site .....

check it out and let me know....

hey admin,

thanks a lot mate.... :)

tried it out and works like a charm.... have a query....

1. I want to build graphic skies / animated skies
2. Want to place trees from Maya into the game engine (about 100 trees)
3. want to show buildings etc throughout the outside of the game levels...

I have a 3gb ram machine with a gforce new graphic card..... and a amd processor... :D

Machine works fine still, when i try to render with these things...... it becomes to heavy.... :((

how to build these three things into the game.... :-??

any guidance / suggestions???

Hi maxisttlmgame,

Sounds like you have a pretty neat roaring desktop... :ymsmug:

but loading 100 trees and with all that you need is too a risky task even with that config #:-s

as for your query:

1. I want to build graphic skies / animated skies
2. Want to place trees from Maya into the game engine (about 100 trees)
3. want to show buildings etc throughout the outside of the game levels...

For all three you have One single solution: ENTITY Maps

You can create entity maps as in say ".gif" file extensions and use it like an entity map in game studio.

:ymhiro: :) :|

So you can have animated sky, or place 100 gif trees throughout or even have buildings but each will add up to your scene weight as only One polygon count. So you can still have loads of memory space to work on the rest of the game....

The idea here is that when you use these kind of maps, They have the ability for Lowest poly count but yet work as a COllidable Object in the scene... so it is very useful and used widely in Games.....

try it out and let me know....
